A little about me….Renee. Originally from NY, then Miami, and now I call Los Angeles my home. I’m an artist and jewelry designer. I studied fine art in Miami with a focus in small metal work. It was there that my real interest in jewelry design stemmed. I’m inspired by the styles that surround me, the body the jewelry adorns and art itself. I live with the ideals that the ‘safe way’ isn’t always the best way and people CAN live the lives they want to live.

My creations are unique and edgy, some may even say dangerous….but they   all  maintain a delicate hue. I’m very interested in the way the piece reacts to the curvature of the body and often use my own skin as a sketchbook to gauge how a shape or design will look.
My process is ever changing and I’m always thinking of new designs.

Keeping sketchbooks everywhere helps me organize all these ideas but I will admit that it is sometimes difficult to read to soggy pages of the sketchbook by the shower. I also make paper sculptures of all my designs before fabrication. This allows me to work out all the kinks before committing it to the precious metal.

Being able to facilitate my ideas and inspirations into a wearable piece of art is the most rewarding part of the process to me.
My medium is metal and I work mostly with sterling silver. Everything is handcrafted by me from my studio here in L. A..
When not designing you can find me riding around town on my pink fuzzy bike looking for new adventures.
And just like life, it’s never what you expect…
