Renee Andriole Designs was recently featured at the Luxury Gift Lounge for the 2012 Academy Awards (OSCARS)!!! The gift lounge was held at the W Hotel is Hollywood just blocks away from the infamous Kodak Theater where the stars work the red carpet. Each swag-bag contained one of my “Mended Heart Necklace”. This piece has a lot of meaning to me and I love hearing the stories of what it means to each person that receives one. Although the stories are always different the same message rings true…. and that it one of strength and healing. I’m excited to see the reaction to my gift and hope that it holds a special place for everyone that receives one! Still waiting on the official list of celebs that received the bags but here are some behind the scenes photos of the event to keep you on you on your toes

For those that know me well I had a crazy holiday season this year and vowed to not celebrate MY new years until February 2nd….Groundhog day, duh!! Cause nothing says party like a groundhog really. Well, here we are at February 6th and I’m beginning one of my new years resolutions to write on my blog more. I’m excited to share all the great things going on in the world of Renee Andriole Designs!! And if you don’t care….why are you still reading this Like many other business’s, Renee Andriole Designs most busy time is the holiday season. Lot’s of orders this season and I just wanted to say thanks! Get ready for some new designs to debut in the next couple months. I also had a very large project/amazing opportunity that kept me very busy through the month of January. I am pleased to announce that Renee Andriole Designs will be participating the Luxury Gift Lounge for the OSCARS!!! YAY!!! Each nominee and presenter will receive a smaller version of my ‘Mended Heart Necklace’ in their swag bag. It was a big accomplishment and a lot of work, but I’m so honored and excited to see what comes of it. Although I couldn’t feel my fingers by the end, I packed up and shipped out 100 of these perfect little packages….your welcome celebs.

Art in the Street

So lucky to live in LA and have access to an amazing art world! I may be a little late posting this, but I HAVE to share!

Art in the Street was an art exhibit in downtown LA (Geffen Gallery of MOCA). First major historical exhibition of graffiti and art street art to be organized by an America museum. The exhibit was incredible! Photos, grafitti ,film, paintings, and the best installations I have ever seen. There were several black light art rooms that brought you into the 90′s and crazy raver days, they even had entire subway cars inside the gallery as well as a full size city bus parked outside as another canvas.

The exhibit documented the history that emerged from housing projects in the 70′s and spread worldwide. Artists today use graffiti art and the streets to comment on what’s going on NOW….we live in a society that wants instant gratification and things are changing in a cyber second. These artists are at the height of that communication. The artists themselves know that the work may be painted over and may be very temporary….but that’s the beauty in it….it doesn’t have to be forever to make an impact.

I ended up going on one of the last days and it is something that I am so happy I didn’t miss. Truly amazing.

Here we go! Finally the launch of my new website! Renee here of Renee Andriole Designs…I’ll be sharing new projects, art , music and fashion I love! Stay tuned to see what comes up…and just like life….it’s never what you expect!

First things first….here are a couple of pics of my latest creations

ChainMaille Ring…..I love chainmaille..don’t you!??

This great open design silver ring is made with square silver wire and a small round spike at one end. The spike kinda looks like a bullet shooting off the ring…dontcha think?
